Policies & Guidelines

Official Green Key policy documents covering scope, agreements, branding, and certification principles.

Green Key operates with full transparency through a comprehensive set of policies and guidelines that govern every aspect of the certification programme. These documents ensure fairness, impartiality, and consistency for all participating establishments worldwide.

Our policies cover important areas such as the certification agreement, impartiality and confidentiality, complaints and appeals handling, use of Green Key trademark and logo, and official branding guidelines.

As Green Key transitions from the 2022–2026 criteria to the new 2026–2031 criteria, two sets of policy documents are currently available — please refer to the set that matches your certification period.
